This international project celebrates 100 years of Bolshevik revolution. The israeli part of the project takes place at MOBY - Museum of Modern Art, Bat Yam. The New Barbizon took part in it with two exhibitions: "Soviet childhood" (Cherkassky, Zourabova, Lukin, Kundina) and "Soviet Haifa" (Lukashevsky).

WORKSHOP AT THE BETZALEL ACADEMY, TEL AVIV

The New Barbizon made a month-period workshop at The Betzalel Academy for MFA and BFA students. With our guidance students that are dealing with figurative painting, worked from observation, and the best painter Narkis Wiezel went to the residency in Milano. The project was sponsored by Maimeri and Superkit Ltd.
ARTPORT RESIDENCY, TEL AVIV

Natalia Zourabova and The New Barbizon took part in Artport Residency for a year. In this frame besides many other activities, we organized painting from observation session with other israeli figurative painters, in order to share this experience. Participates: The New Barbizon, Larisa Miller, Elad Rosen, Alma Itzhaki, Amit Cabessa, Orly Mayberg, Galia Pasternak.
"MASTERPIECES" PROJECT, TEL AVIV

A special project for Fresh Paint Artfair 7, Tel Aviv. We made copies of the masterpieces of painting. We turned back to old masters works in attempt to reach better understanding of our individual paths as artists. Each one of us understood the act of copying differently: from staying close to the origin up to free interpretation.

We were invited for 2 days to work in bedouin village named Hura in the desert of Negev, near Beer Sheva. We painted on the hot streets ending in the desert, inside the houses, village people and their domestic animals. Along with our colleagues painters we made an exhibition in the local cultural center. Producer: Moshe Balmas

OPEN STUDIO AT THE NEW CENTRAL BUS STATION, TEL-AVIV
March - April 2014
During two months New Barbizon developed an OPEN STUDIO project at the Central Bus Station in Tel Aviv. Its a huge mall of uncostly sales, crossroads for all types of natives and tourists, cultural centre or African emigrants, an accomodation for drug addicted people.
For the project presentation we prepared an activity which recalled production to be found inside the Station: we made special souvenirs: painted on disposable plates and drew portraits of the public for street price. After the presentation we were painting and drawing inside and outside the Station and afterwards showed the results on the final exhibition. Producer: Alex Fridman.

New Barbizon was invited to work in Beer Sheva. We painted at the market and in the city. The result was the exhibition BE'ER SHEVA MARKET, Negev Museum of Art, Israel.

PERM, RUSSIA

New Barbizon was invited to The International Festival "White Nights in Perm" by ERMM, Perm museum of contemporary art. We painted the city and its citizens. At the opening we expressed our solidarity to an artist Vasily Slonov, whose exhibition, started at the same hall, has been censored and banned by Perm authorities. Our exhibition was also closed immediately after the opening. Producer: Victor Levin
